Arabsat has entered into an agreement with Audimatic to deploy its innovative Internet of Things-powered monitoring platform. The technology delivers instantaneous data on satellite television consumption behaviors, tracking metrics including individual channel performance, audience distribution patterns, and overall satellite coverage effectiveness. The collaboration was officially announced on February 4th.
Second-by-Second Detection Capabilities
The analytics system captures viewing signals on a moment-by-moment basis, providing Arabsat with the capability to track consumption patterns for both regional and international broadcast channels as they occur. According to the satellite operator, this granular detection capability enables monitoring of broader trends in channel activity and regional viewing habits, contributing to enhanced understanding of live satellite television engagement.
Industry-First Linear TV Measurement Tool
Badis Khaldi, who founded and leads Audimatic, emphasized the significance of the partnership. He noted that by implementing Audimatic’s platform—which he described as the inaugural satellite linear television audience measurement solution—Arabsat achieves immediate visibility into satellite TV channel audiences and reach metrics. Khaldi characterized this development as a meaningful advancement toward increased transparency in satellite measurement practices, delivering practical insights into live viewing patterns across the operator’s regional and international channel lineup.
